What's the biggest issue with mature teams? 2 Years, 7 Months ago

It's like a big sigh of relief once your team gets to the mature stage. Conflicts are handled well, communication is open and feedback is provided within the team. But we're still dealing with people here.
One of the biggest issues I hear about is adding new members to a new team and complaints about how it upsets the "balance" the team has achieved.
How do you deal with this type of issue?

Our team interviews potential team members so we are already a step ahead of most teams. Once we decide the new person is coming on board, we assign them a team mentor to ensure they are integrated into the team properly.

I would think that another issue could also be boredom and possibly morale being lowered as a result of boredom.
